On March 19-21, 2010, St. Steven's Cathedral teamed up with St. Sophia's Greek Cathedral in hosting the eleventh annual Lenten Retreat which was held once again at Camp Wrightwood. Thirty young adults from throughout the Southland, including two catechumens who planned to be baptized into the Orthodox Faith on Holy Pascha, gathered in the fourth week of Great Lent to meet each other, break bread together, pray together and grow in their faith together throughout the weekend event. Some in the group knew each other and some met each other at our Cathedral during the Young Adult conference on the Sunday of Orthodoxy a month earlier.

St. Steven's Cathedral was one of nine parishes represented at the retreat, which featured a cycle of worship services including Divine Liturgy on Sunday morning, a guest speaker with a PhD. as well as a Master of Divinity, a Saturday afternoon bowling break, a full schedule of meals, and relevant discussions on applying our faith in difficult times. Participants exchanged information on upcoming events where they could gather again and also anticipated planning their own future events.
