Living the Blessings of the Kingdom
Of Jesus' teaching of the Beatitudes during the Sermon on the Mount, Saint John Chrysostom wrote: And in pronouncing [the Apostles] blessed, who are persecuted and chased and suffer all intolerable things; not for them only, but also for all who arrive at the same excellency, He weaves His crown.
At each monthly presentation we will consider one of the Beatitudes from the meaning in its first-century context to examples of it throughout the Bible and Church's teachings and discuss how we can implement them in our lives now , in anticipation of eternal life in the Kingdom to come.
