A new child is diagnosed with autism every 20 minutes. For all the children and families stricken by this disorder -- and all those who will be -- the time to act is now. Your contribution will fund research studies that will help find a cure. With your support, we will transform a community of heartbreak into a community of hope.
Ways you can help:
1. April 19. Join our Walk on Lazarus Saturday, and invite your family and friends to join you.
2. Each Sunday. Support the cause by donating each Sunday at Saint Steven’s as we prepare for our walk. The minimum donation for a “puzzle piece” is only $1.00. Donations are collected in the Pavilion each Sunday where the puzzle pieces are displayed.
3. On-Line. Learn more about this event, about autism, and how you can join Saint Steven’s Cathedral and Team Jovan in their support of the cause by visiting: http://www.walknowforautism.org/losangeles/personal/sssoc
Join Saint Steven’s Cathedral, and Autism Speaks in support of “Team Jovan” and those affected by this disorder, as together we tackle autism! Experience the power of walking together for this important cause to raise awareness and funds to cure Autism by joining Saint Steven’s Walk Now for Autism.
Saint Steven’s Walk Now for Autism will begin in the afternoon and include with our annual Lazarus Saturday children’s procession (Vrbica) carrying palms, willows and bells announcing the resurrection of Lazarus. Following the Vespers Service, we will have dinner on the Cathedral Pavilion with the Marsia Watanabe, the Los Angeles Walk Director for Autism Speaks, as our guest speaker.
We look forward to seeing you at the event!
