After weeks of preparation and donations of food items for family meals, Saint Steven's faithful gathered together with the youth of our Sunday School and their parents to assemble meal kits for distribution through the FOCUS center in Los Angeles.  FOCUS, The Fellowship of Orthodox Christians United to Serve is united in faith and joined by a desire to provide solutions to poverty in communities across America. Its ministries seek to address the ultimate cause of poverty in the world: disconnection. Through such efforts as our Lenten Almsgiving project and the support of many, FOCUS works to address this need by providing people with opportunities to discover their connections with Christ and each other through meaningful service.  Our small effort on Sunday, March 29, 2026 was able to provide nearly 100 meals that will be distributed through the FOCUS center in Los Angeles.  We want to thank everyone for their generosity in donating food and funds to make this all possible, and thank Sasha Dempsey, our Cathedral member and FOCUS director in Los Angeles, along with our many volunteers who united together to serve this important outreach effort for our parish.
