"A heartfelt thank you to everyone at St. Steven’s who participated in the FOCUS Los Angeles back to school backpack program! 96 (4 classes) backpacks were successfully filled and delivered to Fremont Elementary School in Alhambra. The kids and teachers were so grateful for the support! Each backpack was more than a collection of needed items, it was a tangible expression of Christ’s love and a reminder to a child that they are seen, valued, and cared for.

We are especially grateful to those who donated items, helped organize and pack the backpacks, and supported this effort through prayer. It was a beautiful example of our parish family coming together to serve our neighbors in need. As St. John Chrysostom reminds us, “The poor are not our guests; they are our brothers and sisters.” Thank you for helping us live out that calling and share Christ’s love through service.

We invite you to enjoy a few photos from the event!"
